3 More Macro Basic Games work on Mobile

3 More Macro Basic Games work on Mobile

I’m working hard to convert the Flash games on this site to html5 so they can be played on mobile devices and browsers without Flash enabled. I have some added pressure now that the latest chrome update disables Flash at startup rendering my Flash games unusable (unless you reactivate it). As a result, I’m working on them whenever I have some free time. But they will take a while as I’m still building that human capital ;-).

I just finished 3 more of them. These are all part of the Macro Basics unit. These are the Business Cycle Drag and DropGDP Components Identification, and the CPI and GDP Deflator Calculations. 24 of the games and activities on this site are now mobile friendly!

Good luck reviewing!

Market Structures Game is html5

As more browsers discontinue support for Flash, some of the review games and activities on this site are becoming more difficult for students to use on a variety of platforms. As a result, I am going to begin converting the Flash games to html5. First up on the list is the Market Structures Identification game. I hope this will allow more students to practice on more platforms moving forward. If you have any trouble or requests as to which one I should work on next, hit the “Contact Me” button at the bottom of the page and let me know! Good luck on your exams!

A new game (it’s about time)…

Over the past few months, I’ve been focusing revamping and expanding the microeconomics content reviews and I hope to finish those soon. A couple weeks ago, I decided to take a break from the content reviews for a moment and make another interactive review game. This one covers a topic my own students often struggle with; cost curve calculations. Too often, students see the cost curves as random shapes on a page; but these shapes come from real numbers. Understanding the calculations behind those shapes is an important aspect of microeconomics. Check out this html5 (mobile compatible) game with 20  questions and explanations for each answer. If you need to review cost curve calculations, head to the cost curve content review first.

Multiple Choice Practice Questions

Welcome back everyone! I hope you all enjoyed your summer and are ready to get back to work

While I didn’t get a lot of work done on this site over the summer, I am eager to get back to creating new content, editing old content, and making some new review games.

The first change for the new school year is the addition of multiple choice questions from the 2008 and 2012 AP Microeconomics practice exams. Each of the Microeconomics content reviews now includes connections to those practice exams so you can see some real AP questions for the given topic and get some additional practice applying the concepts to the exam.

Good luck with the new school year!

Summer work?

Summer work?

While I will do my best to enjoy my summer and spend lots of time with my family (and I hope you will too), I have decided to spend a little time revamping some of the content review pages on ReviewEcon.com. First up was the Production Possibilities Curve. The new version covers it all!
